Kimberly Ann Crutcher
Attorney at Thomas J. Henry Law's San Antonio Office
Kimberly Ann Crutcher is an attorney at Thomas J. Henry Law, joining the firm’s San Antonio office in 2019.
Mrs. Kimberly Crutcher was born and raised in Kosciusko, Mississippi, a small-town north of Jackson, Mississippi. Her love of the law started here. She cherishes the many debates she had with her mother and late father. Both of her parents raised her to be fearless and understand the power of an education. Her parents would always remind her that “knowledge is power.”
She holds a Bachelor of Paralegal Studies and a Minor in Classics with a Latin Emphasis from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). Attending Ole Miss was a great experience. She was a member of Eta Sigma Phi, a Classics Honor Society and joined Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. in 2011. While attending Ole Miss she was able to gain experience in the legal field interning for North Mississippi Rural Legal Services. This opportunity further confirmed her decision to have a future legal career.
Prior to attending law school Ms. Crutcher worked as legal assistant at a personal injury law firm in Memphis, Tennessee, which specialized in Social Security. That was the moment that she remembered why she loved the legal profession so much. She remembered the excitement on many client’s faces when they would be approved for Social Security. It was an amazing feeling, to be able to help put a smile on a face that was once lost. After a year of being a paralegal, Mrs. Crutcher decided to attend law school.
Mrs. Crutcher obtained her Juris Doctor at UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock, AR. While in law school Mrs. Crutcher was active in a variety of groups and organizations. She was a member of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) and was elected President of the organization, 2017-2018. The same year BLSA was named the Student Organization of the Year. Mrs. Crutcher was also selected to serve as a Dean’s Fellow and named Dean’s Fellow of the Year, her second year in law school. This provided her with the opportunity to mentor first year law students and share her experience in law school.
She was happy with her decision to attend law school and continues to remind herself to, “Embrace Excellence, Scorn Mediocrity. This quote was repeated daily to her by one of her law school mentors, Adjoa A. Aiyetoro, Esq. The quote simply meant, to be best the best you can be, and not settle for anything less.
Prior to joining the TJH family, Mrs. Crutcher was an adjunct professor. She taught Business Law to Business Majors at a two-year college in Little Rock, AR. The course covered every area of the law, but from a business perspective. The goal of the course was to teach the students how to analyze issues and the importance of critical thinking. It was rewarding to share the practice of law with her students.
Working at Thomas J. Henry Law has been a rewarding experience. It has given her the opportunity to meet other amazing attorneys and staff that who share her love of the law and passion for helping clients.
In her spare time, Mrs. Crutcher enjoys decorating, finding new crafts on Pinterest to try, and spending time with her husband Arthur and fur baby Bella Grace.
