Mr. William Adams has practiced law as a trial attorney since 1999, except for a brief stint working for the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia as a Supervising Writ Clerk. Though he was not litigating cases in this role, he gained valuable insight into various areas of law and the judicial system as a whole.
Mr. Adams joined Thomas J. Henry as a managing attorney in 2023 after running his own law firm for 12 years. While managing his firm, he maintained a diverse litigation practice, handling cases in personal injury, family law, and criminal law. In this capacity, he tried numerous family law bench trials, a handful of personal injury cases, and defended numerous criminal cases, including capital cases.
For the 12 years prior, Mr. Adams worked as a litigation trial attorney, primarily defending personal injury cases involving vehicular, workplace, and industrial accidents, as well as medical and professional malpractice. During this time, he brought dozens of cases to trial, including more than a dozen complex medical malpractice, wrongful death, and business litigation matters—both for plaintiffs and the defense—that were tried before a jury, along with several vehicular accident jury trials.
He previously served on an advisory board for a Legal Office Assisting program at a local community college. Mr. Adams has also presented several CLE seminars on various litigation topics. Additionally, he was honored to be selected by his attorney colleagues to serve as a mediator for civil and family law cases.
Through his years of practicing law, the greatest lesson he has learned is to handle clients with compassion.
When he is not in the office, Mr. Adams can be found attending church with his family, exploring San Antonio with his wife, talking soccer with his son, cooking, roasting coffee, reading, or exercising.
