Aurora Products, Inc Macadamia Nut Recall
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Aurora Products, Inc. announced a voluntary recall on Aurora Natural Brand and certain private label branded Raw Macadamia Nuts due to the possibility of placing a health risk to consumers.
About the Aura Nuts Recall
The affected product was produced by Aurora Products, Inc. The potential contamination of other products was announced after an external company contracted by the FDA, revealed the presence of Salmonella in one retail container of the Raw Macadamia Product.
For now, no illnesses have been reported to the FDA. However, if a consumer is to consume a product infected with Salmonella, then the effects can include:
- Diarrhea (may be bloody)
- Abdominal Pain
Worst cases may include the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections, endocarditis, and arthritis.

The product was distributed to retail stores in: CT, DC, DE, KY, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, VA, WV.
The Product has a package size of 8.0 oz Plastic cup; and has been sold under the Aurora Products, Inc. label, as well as by private label brands including:
