According to CNN, Bruce Jenner and many others were involved in a multi-car accident, which caused the death of one woman.

Details of the Fatal crash

The woman that died was identified as 69-year-old Kim Howe of Calabasas, California. Police are currently investigating the reasoning behind the fatal crash.

Jenner claims that he was trying to evade paparazzi but Investigators claim there was no evidence of paparazzi following him before the crash.

The multi-vehicle wreck took place shortly after noon Saturday on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. The accident began when the driver of the Toyota Prius stopped and was hit by a white Lexus from behind. Jenner’s car, the black Cadillac Escalade rear-ended the Lexus, which pushed the Lexus onto oncoming traffic.

A Hummer H2 then hit the Lexus, and the driver of the Lexus was killed.

The family of five inside the Hummer was taken to the hospital but there were no serious injuries. Jenner and the driver of the Prius were also not injured.

Investigators are trying to figure out final determination of fault, but it could take up to 6 months. It is still unclear whether the first vehicle, the Prius, slowed down or stopped completely.

The evidence investigators do have is that Jenner hit the brakes because of skid evidence and authorities will be looking at phone records of the 4 drivers. California law does not allow driving while reading, writing, sending text messages. Also, talking on the phone must be hands-free.
