Authorities Investigate Corpus Christi Refinery Death

Officials are looking into the death of a CITGO employee that was found unconscious at a Corpus Christi plant Monday evening.

Cause of Death Yet to be Determined

According to KRIS-TV, the man was found by a fellow employee in an operating unit at the Citgo Corpus Christi East Plant around 9:00 pm.

Responders rushed the unconscious employee to a nearby hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The employee’s name has not been released.

Authorities are continuing their investigations into the man’s death, and have not yet announced an official cause of death.
