Authorities Investigate Spring, TX Hit-and-Run

Authorities in Spring, Texas are investigating a hit-and-run collision that left one person dead Saturday morning.

Details of the Fatal Accident

According to ABC13, the crash occurred on the North Freeway near Rayford around 7 a.m.

Reports indicate an elevated four-wheel drive pickup truck collided with a vehicle carrying Habib Almishkhas, 51, and Sawsan Almilad. The couple was traveling with their two sons from Oklahoma to the Texas Medical Center – the sons were traveling in a separate vehicle.

Witnesses said the driver of the pickup got out of his vehicle to look at the wreck before getting back into his vehicle a speeding off.

Almilad was pronounced dead at the scene. Almishkhas was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
