Baby Move Prune Concentrate Recalled

Baisha Kreuzer4 years ago

Wellements LLC has voluntarily recalled its Baby Move™ Prune Concentrate liquid dietary supplement as of July 20, 2012 due to one of the ingredients having a high risk of containing Salmonella.

About Salmonella and the Product Recall

Salmonella is harmful and potentially life threatening to young children, elderly, or others with a low immune system. People who are healthy and become infected may only experience discomforting, but maintainable symptoms. In exceptional cases, Salmonella can infect the bloodstream, causing complications such as endocarditis and other diseases.

To date, no illnesses have been reported. On July 13, 2012, Wellements LLC was contacted by its contract manufacturer stating that Ingredion (formerly Corn Products International Inc.) found that five lot samples of the material Purimune, in its raw form, had tested positive for Salmonella. Consumers who have purchased this item are encouraged to return it to the retailer and receive a full refund. If you have any health questions or concerns, please contact your local health care provider.

Description of the Product

Wellements Baby Move™ Prune concentrate is a 4oz bottle sold and packaged in an individual product carton. This product was distributed from January 2012 to July 2012 nationwide through retail stores and online merchants. To find out more information about the recall, visit this website.
