1 Dead, 7 Injured in Central Texas Crash
About the Fatal Texas Crash
19-year-old Juan Carlos Enriquez-Tovar was killed Thursday, when a Ford Expedition he was a passenger in collided with a Nissan Pathfinder on Farm-to-Market 2843 about one mile outside of Salado.
Reports indicate Tovar was in the rear passenger seat of the Expedition, which overturned following the initial impact. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Seven others were injured in the accident. Authorities confirmed that all the injured were riding in the Expedition. The driver of the Pathfinder was traveling alone and was not injured.
Investigators believe the Pathfinder may have drifted across the median into oncoming traffic.
