2 Children Dead in New Mexico Crash

Two children were killed Monday in a two-car collision near Anton Chico, New Mexico.

Details of the Fatal Accident

KOB News reports that crash occurred when a car driven by a Colorado woman collided with a vehicle driven by a Texas man.

The woman, 20-year-old Andria Nieto, was traveling southbound on Interstate 84 when vehicle driven by 19-year-old David Herrera of El Paso, Texas drifted across the median and collided head-on with Nieto’s vehicle.

Nieto’s two child passengers, Luciano Aragon, 12, and Juaquin Gutierrez, 7, were both killed in the collision. Nieto and Herrera were transported to the Guadalupe Co. Hospital in Santa Rosa.

Authorities are investigating the accident – no charges have been filed at this time.
