2 El Paso Residents Killed in Boston Bus Crash

Two residents of El Paso were killed in Boston when a car rear-ended the hotel shuttle bus they were on.

Details of the Boston Bus Crash

KRIS reports that a 59-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman, both from El Paso, died after being ejected from a hotel shuttle bus near Logan International Airport. The incident occurred on Route 1A around 1:15 am Wednesday.

The driver of the shuttle, two other passengers, and the driver of the car were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. The identities of those involved were not released.

The accident remains under investigation.

  • 3,978 large trucks and buses were involved in fatal accidents in 2014.
  • Transit buses accounted for 33 percent of all bus accident recorded between 2004 and 2014. Inner city buses accounted for  buses account for 13 percent.
  • From 2009 to 2014, the number of injury related crashes involving buses and large trucks increased by 55 percent.
