22 Injured in New Jersey School Bus Crash

22 children were treated for injuries following a school bus crash on Route 38 West in Moorestown, New Jersey Wednesday afternoon.

About the Moorestown School Bus Crash

According to NJ Advance Media, the crash occurred at the intersection of Route 38 West and Pleasant Valley Avenue at around 4:15 pm. Some children were treated at the scene while others were transported to Kennedy University Hospital in Cherry Hill.

Officials did not say how the crash occurred, but the right lane and shoulder of Route 38 were closed as they conducted their investigation.

Thirty-six other children aboard the bus were uninjured and were taken to their destination by a different bus.

School Transportation Accident Statistics

  • Nonoccupants, including pedestrians, bicyclists, etc., accounted for 21 percent of the fatalities.
