44,000 Harley Davidson Motorcycles Recalled for Brake Issue

Harley Davidson has recently recalled 43,908 motorcycles due to a brake issue posing the threat of injury.

About the Harley Davidson Recall

Harley Davidson has recently recalled about 44,000 of their vehicles due to an issue with their braking system. Due to the government shutdown, the recall was not posted on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website.

According reports, Harley reports that it has notified customers and dealers of the issue. The Street 750 and Street 500 models made in the U.S. from May 19, 2015, to December 6, 2018 have been recalled, and streetbikes in India manufactured near that time period have also been recalled.

The brakes of the vehicles could drag due to corrosion, increasing the risk of a crash. Harley has reported 6 incidents involving the issue, and the fix Harley is offering is to bring the vehicles to a dealership for replacement parts.
