On Tuesday evening, a pickup truck was heading westbound on the Southwest Freeway when it hit an ambulance travelling northbound, causing the ambulance to flip. The crash occurred on frontage road near Bellaire Boulevard.
According to the Houston Chronicle, the ambulance’s siren and lights were on at the time of the crash. Only the driver was in the ambulance, who was seen walking and talking before being taken to the hospital.
The driver of the pickup truck was in serious, but stable condition, and was taken to the hospital.
The Houston police are still investigating the crash to determine if any charges are necessary.
