Austin Car Crash Kills 2 School Teachers
Two educators from Simi Valley and Oak Park unified school districts died in a car accident in Austin, Texas that occurred Saturday.
About the Fatal Austin Crash
According to the Acorn, the accident occurred when the driver of a minivan ran a red light, causing it to come crashing into the passenger side of the car the teachers were traveling in.
One of the teachers died on the scene while the other was rushed to a hospital and died the same night. The husband of one of the teachers remains in critical condition at the hospital. The other teacher’s fiance survived the crash with minor injuries.
The teachers were supposedly driving to a wedding rehearsal dinner when the accident happened. Family and friends have launched a fundraising campaign to help pay for memorial services.
