A woman was killed in Katy, Texas Friday morning when her vehicle was struck by a pickup that ran a red light.
Details of the Fatal Accident
The Houston Chronicle, Janeth Mireles was pronounced dead around 2 am at the intersection of Greenhouse and Saums in west Harris County.
Authorities said the collision Mireles was traveling northbound on Greenhouse in a 2010 Nissan Altima when her vehicle was struck by a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado that was moving west on Saums.
Preliminary reports suggest the pickup ran a red light at the intersection.
The driver was taken to an area hospital for treatment. It is unclear if alcohol was a factor in the accident.
