According to KXAN, the pedestrian crash occurred around 6:15 am in the 8700 block of North Lamar Boulevard. Police say a dark blue or black pickup truck was headed northbound on North Lamar when it struck a pedestrian near the Fairfield bus stop.
The victim was described as a man in his 40s. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the hit-and-run driver. They advise that the truck involved was a smaller sized pickup and will have clear damage on the passenger side above the headlight on the side mirror.
