At Least Three Dead After Fatal Accident in Jenkins County, GA

Multiple people were killed in a tragic accident that happened in Jenkins County, Georgia on late Wednesday night.

WJBF News in Augusta has reported on multiple deaths in an accident that happened in Jenkins County late Wednesday night.

Investigators that responded to the scene of the accident say that it happened on Highway 25 just south of Millen around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Three people died in the accident – the victims have been identified as 68-year-old Lois Burke, 23-year-old Courtney Hill, and 6-month-old Paisley Hill. Two other people in the vehicle – Otis Burke and a four year-old child – were taken to hospitals in Savannah and Statesboro.

The driver of a pickup truck that was also involved in the accident was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

As of right now, there have been no charges filed in the accident. The incident remains under investigation by the Georgia State Highway Patrol.
