A resident of Kaufman, Texas has been indicted by a grand jury for intoxication manslaughter in connection with a fatal head-on collision that occurred on August 17, 2014.
About the Fatal Accident
According to reports, 24-year-old Ramon Ramirez was traveling southbound on Farm-to-Market Road 2727 around 8 pm when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with a pickup, killing Randy Ray Edwards, 63.
36-year-old Crystal Anne Moon and 19-year-old Cory Watts were also injured in the accident – both were passengers in Edwards’ truck.
Moon was transported to a hospital in Tyler while Watts was transported to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Kaufman. Ramirez was flown to Parkland Hospital in Dallas for treatment.
