Man Arrested after Fleeing Crash Site
Village-News is reporting that a construction worker was arrested in a residential area of Florida after crashing a van Friday morning, and then fleeing the crash site.
Details about the Construction Worker’s Arrest and Crash Site
According to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, a construction worker, who had been working at a construction site in The Villages, hit a light pole while leaving the roadway. The driver of the van, Alberto Ruiz-Soto, had been driving with a suspended license. After the accident, Ruiz-Soto fled the scene.
Ruiz-Soto was captured in a residential area, where he was then arrested for driving with a suspended license, resisting arrest, and leaving the scene of the accident.
Ruiz-Soto was taken to the Sumter County Detention Center on $3,250 bond.
