Authorities are investigating an auto-pedestrian accident that left one dead near Buna, Texas Monday evening.
Details of the Buna Pedestrian Accident
According to Fox 4 in Beaumont, 35-year-old Chad Wayne Drake of Kountze was fatally struck by a passenger vehicle on US 96 around 10 pm Monday.
Authorities have determined that Drake was walking southbound on US 96 when he was struck from behind by a vehicle traveling in the outside lane.
The driver, 68-year-old June Maricle of Buna, remained on the scene and was not injured in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
