Details about the Motor Vehicle Accident
Multiple sources are reporting that a motorcycle accident that happened along State Road 528 just west of US 1 in Cocoa resulted in the serious injury of one person on Friday afternoon, according to a spokesperson from the Cocoa Police Department.
Police further stated that the westbound lanes of State Road 528 were closed after the accident for investigation and cleanup. The victim who was injured in the accident was taken via helicopter to a local hospital.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, officers first arrived at the scene of the accident just before 3 p.m. when they received word about the accident that happened.
Emergency responders from the Cocoa Police and Fire Departments, as well as the Wildlife Conservation Commission, and the Florida Highway Patrol all responded to the scene of the accident. At this time, the condition of the injured driver is currently unknown.
