Motorcyclist Struck, Killed by Suspected Drunk Driver in Las Vegas

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, a man on a motorcycle was fatally injured in a crash involving a suspected drunk driver in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday morning.

About the Deadly Motorcycle Crash

The fatal motorcycle wreck occurred on Las Vegas Boulevard near Barbara Lane at around noon. A 47-year-old motorcyclist was riding north on his Harley-Davidson when a woman in a BMW attempted to turn left in front of him.

Officials say the motorcyclist was ejected after striking the side of the car. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the motorcyclist was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. He would later succumb to his injuries at the hospital.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the driver of the BMW, 21-year-old Kaelyn Elan Swain, was arrested and booked on a DUI resulting in death charge. The fatal motorcycle crash marks the 14th traffic-related fatality in the metro area in 2017.
