One Dead, One Injured in Lubbock County Crash
One person was killed and another person was hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash on FM 2528 in Lubbock County.
Details of the Lubbock Accident
According to reports, 26-year-old Xavier Martinez died Thursday after an early morning crash on FM 2528 near County Road 5100.
Authorities were called to the scene of the crash around 3:30 am. The Department of Public Safety says a pickup was traveling north on FM 2528 when it overcorrected and rolled. The driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the truck, 36-year-old Martin Lee Peek, was airlifted to University Medical Center by Aerocare. Fortunately, Peek’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The crash remains under investigation.
