One Man Dead, Another Seriously Injured in Pedestrian-Car Wreck

According to the Orlando Sentinel, two pedestrians were hit by a car, one of which sustained fatal injuries in Seminole County, Florida, on Saturday morning.

Natale Carbone, 73, and Giovanni Salvatore, 70, were walking on the sidewalk along East Lake Drive at around 10:45 a.m. when the fatal accident happened. A driver lost control of his car, left the roadway, and struck the two men.

Carbone was hit directly by the car, reports The Orlando Sentinel. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Salvatore was also hospitalized in serious condition after being struck by debris from mailboxes that the driver destroyed.

The driver of the car was identified as 41-year-old Luis Hagen. According to The Orlando Sentinel, no citations have been given out in the crash.
