Teen Killed in Killeen Car Crash

17-year-old Jayveon Devone Burks died in a car accident in Killeen Sunday evening that injured two others, reports KXXV News.

Details of the Accident

Killeen police say a silver Honda Accord and gray Toyota Camry collided around 7:30 p.m. Sunday night in the area of Stan Schlueter Loop and Ledgestone Drive. Burks, who was driving the Camry, turned into the oncoming path of the Honda, who collided into the driver’s side of the Camry.

Burk was rushed to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, where he later died. A 16-year-old passenger who was in the car with Burks is currently in stable at Baylor Scott & White Hospital. The driver of the Honda suffered minor injuries and was taken to Metroplex Hospital.

The crash is currently under investigation.
