NBC San Diego News is reporting that a man and a woman were sent to the hospital to be treated for their injuries after they were involved in a motorcycle accident that happened on a busy road in Coronado on Monday night, according to Coronado police.
Coronado police report that the accident happened at about 6:53 p.m. on the 7400 block of Silver Strand Boulevard on Monday evening. Police have indicated that the accident involved a single motorcycle with two passengers. The woman suffered serious injuries but was conscious when emergency crews arrives at the scene of the accident.
Both people on the motorcycle were taken to the hospital after the accident, but, at this time, it is unclear which of the two were operating the motorcycle when the accident happened. It is also unknown whether or not drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, but police are fairly certain that speed was a factor.
