West Jordan Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident
A man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a concrete wall.
Details about the Fatal Motorcycle Accident
According to the Gephardt Daily News, a 23-year-old man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle in an accident that involved him colliding with a concrete wall on Wednesday evening in the area of West Jordan.
A police officer from West Jordan stated that the accident happened at about 11 p.m. on the 8200 block out South and the 6000 block of West. He motorcycle driver hit a roundabout, causing him to lose control of the vehicle and collide with a second wall, where he suffered a fatal head injury.
The police officer further revealed that the victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. There were also no witnesses of the accident, so at this time, officers are uncertain as to how long the it was between the time of the accident and when police arrived at the scene.
The man was taken via helicopter to the University of Utah Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. The accident remains under investigation at this time, and it is uncertain whether or not alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
