Whitesboro Principal Killed in Car Crash

A principal at Whitesboro Middle School was fatally injured Tuesday morning during a head-on collision in Grayson County.

Details of the Fatal Accident

KTEN reports Patricia Mitchell was killed when her vehicle was struck head-on by another vehicle on Highway 377 just south of Whitesboro, Texas.

Authorities state the crash occurred around 7 am when a vehicle driven by Nathan Riney, 60, attempted to pass another vehicle in the southbound lanes of the highway. His vehicle collided with Mitchell’s 2013 GMC Suburban.

Riney was taken to Texoma Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.

  • Another 232,041 people were injured in auto accidents with 89,270 people suffering serious injuries.
