Wreck in NE Harris County Kills 2 Children, Injures 2 Adults
Description of Fatal Wreck
ABC13 reports the accident occurred on Old Beaumont Highway, near Prince Road. A sedan was possibly speeding on the two-lane highway, and attempted to pass the vehicle in front but instead collided head-on with an SUV carrying a mother and her two young sons.
According to Harris County Sgt. Mike Harvey, the woman wasn’t at fault. She was in her lane driving the speed limit, and didn’t have enough time to react.
Authorities say the two brothers were killed instantly, even though they were properly restrained. Both were under the age of 12.
The mother and male driver of the sedan were both transported to the Texas Medical Center via LifeFlight. The mother suffered from internal injuries, and the male driver from a multitude of broken bones. Right now, alcohol is not a factor in the wreck.
