NBC News reports that a bus carrying 57 people ran off an exit ramp in Virginia early on March 19. One person died at the scene, while another was brought to a hospital and later died there.
All the surviving passengers were hospitalized, including two with life-threatening injuries. Charges are pending against the driver, who was not injured.
Authorities have said that several other crashes have occurred in the area due to heavy fog.
The investigation is still ongoing.
