Cable Repair Truck Parked in Road Causes Multiple Cars to Crash

two cars with severe damage after crash

According to FOX59, several vehicles crashed into a ditch after avoiding a cable company truck parked on a snowy and icy road in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Tuesday.

Video shows Cable Crews Ignoring Accidents

A Comcast cable repair truck was responding to fix a cable box that had been damaged from a previous car crash incident. The crew parked the truck in the right lane of the road, leaving only one lane for drivers to pass through. Behind the truck, the crew placed several cones behind to signal to drivers, but vehicles were not noticing the cones until it was too late.

A man with a video camera at the scene captured several people crashing cars off the road due to the bad road conditions. One accident involved a car that was hit by a pickup truck that was traveling at high speeds, reports FOX59. The man taking the video pleaded with the cable crews to add more cones or move, but they did not.

Comcast received many comments on social media regarding their lack of proper safety procedures, reports FOX59. The cable company replied to the video and comments, saying the situation will  be investigated. It was unclear if anyone in the vehicle accidents sustained injuries.
