Child Riding Bicycle Killed in Truck Collision Accident

An unnamed 5-year-old girl riding a bicycle was killed, in a fatal collision with a large vehicle on December 17.

About the Fatal Accident

According to several news outlets, this incident took place when the girl, riding her bicycle, crossed into the path of a Ford F-150 pickup truck trying to make a turn in a dead-end street.

This accident took place at the 13700 block of Lawrence Trace Court, in Cypress, an unincorporated community in Harris County.

The truck driver, a 17-year-old male, was traveling north through the cul-de-sac and was not under the influence of drugs and alcohol, nor was excessive speed a factor in the incident, according to county deputies.

The girl was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
