Church Bus Driver Charged with DWI After Indiana Crash

A church bus driver was charged with driving while intoxicated after drifting of the road and crashing in Indiana.

About the Indiana Bus Crash

According to the Chicago Tribune, 82-year-old Wilton B. Carr was charged with driving while intoxicated after he went off the Indiana Toll Road, injuring the passengers.

Among those injured were a 48-year-old man and three children between the ages of 10 and 14,

46 passengers had been on board the bus when it crashed on Monday around 10:40 p.m near the Cline Avenue exit in Gary. Several passengers described being thrown from their seats as the front tires left the ground.

The driver was charged with operating while intoxicated with passengers younger than 18 and operating while intoxicated causing bodily injury.
