Colorado Pedestrian Killed, Police Searching for Pickup

A male pedestrian has died after being hit by a car on the highway.

Details about the Pedestrian Accident in Colorado

According to the Reporter-Herald, the Colorado State Patrol officials have announced on Tuesday morning that investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating a full-sized brown pickup truck that allegedly ran over and killed a man who was left lying on the road in Adams County.

A release from the Colorado State Patrol says that at around 7:30 p.m., a man was lying in the middle of the southbound lanes of Pecos Street just southwest of West 76th Avenue in Denver, when the pickup allegedly ran over the man and did not stop to render aid.

Reports from witnesses indicate that the driver of the brown pickup may not have even been aware that a man was lying in the middle of the highway because the pedestrian was wearing dark-colored clothing.

The pedestrian that was hit was taken to the Denver Health Medical Center where he later died.

The Colorado State Patrol is asking anyone with information about the incident or the brown truck that ran over the man to call the Colorado State Patrol’s dispatch.
