Construction Worker Hurt in Crane Accident

A construction worker in Canton, Kentucky has been hurt while working on a bridge when he was caught between equipment.

Details about the Crane Accident

The West Kentucky Star is reporting that an employee working for a contractor on a western Kentucky bridge was injured at around 4:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said that they received word about the incident at the construction site for the new U.S. 68/KY 80 Lake Barkley Bridge in Canton in Trigg County.

Reports indicate that a carpenter working or PCL Civil Constructors was caught between some equipment during a crane pick.

Trigg County emergency crews were called to the scene where they evaluated the injured worker. They then called for Air Evac due to the possibility of internal injuries. The worker was then air lifted to a trauma center in Nashville.

No other information about the worker or his condition is currently available at this time.
