A construction worker was sent to the hospital last Friday after a being struck by a falling cinder block at a Brooklyn, New York job site.
According to the New York Daily News, the accident happened around 1:30 pm near the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Dean St. in Ocean Hill.
The cinder block was said to have fallen five feet before striking the man in his head. He was rushed to the hospital with severe head trauma.
The police stated that two other men were killed earlier this year in construction accidents that occurred in Brooklyn. Alex Santizo fell to his death after debris struck him in the head at a job site on April 1, and on April 21, Luis Mata died while dismantling scaffolding at a West Village condo building.
