Dallas Officer Injured in Motorcycle Accident

WFAA reported that a Dallas police officer was injured while he was on the way to a funeral procession to honor one of the officers killed in last week’s Dallas attack.

About the Motorcycle Crash

Near State Highway 161 and Gateway in Irving, a Dallas police officer, who was on a motorcycle, crashed while riding to a funeral procession set to honor an officer that passed away last week.

Irving Police say that the officer was slowing down traffic where the funeral procession was headed.  The officer had his lights on, and was forced to take “evasive action” to prevent a crash with another vehicle.

According to the Dallas Police Department, the officer was awake and communicative after the accident.
