Car Crashes Through Apartment, Striking and Killing Disabled Veteran

According to KING5, a man sustained fatal injuries after a car crashes through his apartment and runs him over in Kent, Washington, on Saturday night.

Cause of Crash under Investigation

Officials say a driver traveling on South 240th Street lost control of the car and slammed into the Bryson Square apartment complex. At around 6:20 p.m. local time, the car entered the building and struck a pedestrian male in his 50s. According to KING5, the man was a disabled veteran.

KING5 reports that emergency crews discovered the man underneath the vehicle and were unable to revive him. The man died at the scene of the crash.

The car had two occupants, and KING5 reports that neither person sustained injuries in the crash. Officials have not placed anyone under arrest as the investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is ongoing.
