Woman Sustains Severe Head Injuries after Semi Strikes Disabled Car

According to ABC News 10, a tractor-trailer crashed into a disabled vehicle with a woman inside, causing her severe injuries in Moreau, New York, on Tuesday morning.

Details of the Trucking Accident

Gladys Schultz, 70, sat in her disabled Subaru in the far right driving lane on Interstate 87 northbound, near exit 17N. Police say the 18-wheeler crashed into her car at around 12:49 a.m. local time, according to ABC News 10.

Schultz received an airlift to Albany Medical Center where she was treated for severe head trauma. ABC News 10 reports that Schultz is in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing, and police did not issue any citations or charges against the semi-truck driver.
