Four Construction Workers Injured After Fall from Roof
According to WSOC TV, four construction workers are recovering in the hospital after falling 20 feet off the roof they were working on.
Construction Company Previously Cited by OSHA
The four injured construction workers worked for Trent Builders, a company that, according to WSOC TV, has been cited twice in the past for failing to provide sufficient fall safety measures for their workers.
According to Union County Sherriff’s Office spokesman Tony Underwood, the men were putting a truss into place for a roof at the Providence Equestrian Center when the truss fell, causing the workers to fall nearly 20 feet to the ground and sustain injuries.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration officials were investigating the accident but had no comment on whether Trent Builders would be facing additional fines, says WSOC TV. Trent Builders were fined $5,600 in 2013 and 2015 for violations.
