Four Elderly People Killed after 18-Wheeler Crashes into SUV

According to WTKR, four people died after a collision with a semi-truck in Northampton, County, Virginia, on Saturday afternoon.

Details of the Fatal Trucking Accident

Police say four passengers in a Hyundai SUV traveled on Route 13 at approximately 12:43 p.m. local time. The SUV attempted to turn onto Capeville Drive when an 18-wheeler struck the SUV.

WTKR reports that the two men and two women inside the SUV died at the scene. The deceased includes the 87-year-old driver, Konrad Erbes, and three passengers, 80-year-old Jacob Eng, 78-year-old Angelika Erbes, and 76-year-old Theresa Eng. The four victims were in Northampton County visiting family, according to WTKR.

The semi-truck driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
