Gleason Recalls Hand Trucks Due to Laceration Risk

Gleason is issuing a recall on approximately 120,000 hand trucks because of a laceration and injury risk.

About the Gleason Hand Truck Recall

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the plastic rim on the wheels of the hand truck can break when overinflated, causing potential harm to the user.

Gleason has received five reports of people receiving laceration injuries, including to the face.

Gleason advises consumers to immediately stop use of the recalled hand trucks and contact the company for replacement wheels.

Description of the Recalled Gleason Hand Trucks

The recall includes the Milwaukee-branded hand trucks with model numbers 40615 and 60610. The model number is located on the crossbar between the handles.

The recalled nylon hand trucks measure 50 inches tall and 21 inches wide.

Home Depot and Lowe’s stores sold the recalled products at locations nationwide between August 2007 and April 2010.
