Graco has issued a recall for 36,000 children’s highchairs following reports of the chairs tipping over and injuring children.

About the Graco Highchair Recall

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recall affects Graco Table3Table 6-in-1 highchairs with the model number 1969701. The highchairs were sold exclusively at Walmart.

Graco has received 38 reports of the highchairs’ rear legs pivoting out of position, causing the chairs to tip over. These reports include five reports of injuries to children, including bumps and bruises.

Consumers should stop using the defective highchairs immediately until they have contacted Graco and received a free repair kit.

Description of the Recalled Highchairs

The following information was provided by the CPSC:

  • The recalled highchairs convert into six different modes: reclining infant highchair, traditional highchair, a booster seat, portable booster, toddler chair, and chair and table.
  • The chair’s legs are light grey with dark grey accidents. The highchair’s cushion is white with gold and gray polka dots.
  • The model number is printed on a label located on the underside of the toddler seat and on another label on the back of the booster seat.
  • “Graco” and “Table2Table” are printed on the label on the underside of the toddler seat.
  • Recalled units were sold between October 2016 and December 2017 for roughly $100.
