H-E-B is issuing a recall on approximately 600 brown metal chairs over a fall hazard posed by a detached armrest.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the Brazos Embossed star chairs may contain a welding defect that improperly attaches the armrest to the base. A detached armrest poses a fall hazard for users.
H-E-B received one report of the armrest detaching, but no injuries related to the recalled units have been reported.
Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled Brazos Embossed star chairs and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
The recalled chairs are made of brown mental and have an embossed star design on the back of the chair. The hangtag on the chair contains the following UPC number:
H-E-B stores in Texas sold the recalled metal chairs between February 2016 and September 2016.
