High School Student Dead in Crash near School
According to KDVR, a 17-year-old high school student is dead after a collision between two other vehicles in Castle Rock, Colorado, on Tuesday morning.
Crash Still under Investigation
Kyra Connolly, 17, was driving near her high school at approximately 10:00 a.m. when she crossed to the wrong side of the road. Her vehicle sideswiped another vehicle and then slammed head-on with a delivery truck.
Connolly, a senior at Castle View High School, died at the scene, according to KDVR. The driver of the truck was transported to a hospital with minor injuries, and the driver of the sideswiped vehicle was uninjured.
KDVR reports that police are unsure what caused Connolly to start driving on the wrong side of the road.
