According to the Houston Chronicle, SWAT officer Sgt. T. Fendia of the Houston Police Department was heading home when he was rear-ended by a vehicle on Highway 288 at around 12:30 am.
After hitting Fendia’s vehicle, the suspect’s vehicle hit another car before overturning. The driver had to be extricated from the wreckage and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Fendia suffered minor injuries and the third driver was treated at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
