Identity of Motorcyclist Killed in Valley Station Accident Released

The man killed in a Valley Station motorcycle accident has been identified.

Details about the Motorcycle Accident

WHAS 11 News reports that the Louisville Metro Police Traffic Unit is investigating a fatal accident that happened that involved a motorcycle in Valley Station on Saturday.

Police further stated that the accident happened at the 11000 block of Deering Road at around 6:30 p.m.

A preliminary investigation into the accident revealed that 50-year-old William Brown was heading south on Deering Road at a high rate of speed, when, according to investigators, Brown lost control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle left the roadway and hit a basement window at a nearby home.

Brown was then taken to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. According to police, Brown was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
