The Kokomo Tribune is reporting that a 58-year-old man had to be airlifted to a hospital in Fort Wayne after being involved in an accident in which his motorcycle was run off the road and into a ditch, according to witnesses.

According to police, they were called to the scene of the accident at Indiana 931, which is just south of the US 31 bridge overpass at around 6:23 p.m. on Tuesday, where they found the victim, Wayne Windsor, semi-conscious and bleeding, according to a report from the accident.

Deputies reported finding the man’s 1988 Harley Davidson motorcycle about 800 feet from the road in a ditch. Gouge marks in the soil indicate that the man’s motorcycle may have flipped, throwing him from the vehicle.
