Man Crashes into Woman and Daughter in Hit-and-Run Collision

According to FOX19, a woman and her daughter sustained serious injuries after a driver crashes into them and flees the scene in Avondale, Ohio, on Sunday night.

Details of the Pedestrian Accident

Police arrested Donteiz Dickey, 22, after the hit-and-run accident that occurred late Sunday. Officials say Dickey drove his SUV erratically on Vine Street before running through a red light.

According to FOX19, Dickey crashed into Joy White, 27, and Khloe Pitts, 3, at around 9:00 p.m. local time near the Cincinnati Zoo. Both White and Pitts suffered from serious injuries in the collision. The three-year-old girl is listed in critical condition at Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital. Following the pedestrian crash, Dickey fled the scene and abandoned his SUV blocks away from the crash site.

Dickey is currently held without bond in Hamilton County jail is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and failing to stop after an accident, reports FOX19.

In 2015, police arrested Dickey for improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and possession of cocaine.
