Man Faces Charges After Hit-and-Run Involving Bicyclist

According to WPVI, a pickup truck driver faces charges after hitting a bicyclist and fleeing the accident on New Year’s Day in Bensalem Township, Pennsylvania.

Details of Bicycle Accident

The accident occurred at around 9:28 a.m. local time on Tennis Avenue near Bristol Pike. A bicyclist was hit by a truck driven by James Hasher, who drove away from the scene following the collision.

Police found a side-view mirror left behind near the bicyclist from an older model Chevrolet pickup, reports WPVI. Tips and surveillance video helped lead officials to Hasher, 40, who turned himself in to police. The bicyclist received serious injuries in the crash.

Hasher faces charges of accident involving death or personal injury, failure to render aid, and careless driving, according to WPVI.
